We've decided to record five songs, and while we've rehearsed for it, we're hoping that the muse will visit us tonight and make the recording special. Whether it's just from the raw emotion, or capturing some essence of sound and space, or inspiration coursing through your veins as you play an unfamiliar instrument.

It's a little scary to think about how it's all going to turn out, but I reckon we'll just bash the songs out, raw, like a medium rare steak. Browned and chargrilled on the outside, but succulent and juicy on the inside. The current focus on Penpusher's music has been on songwriting and less on instrumentation. So I think this recording style will suit us well. Also, I plan to stay awake with caffeine, but loose enough to record with the right amounts of alcohol.

Each town, city or country can be so different from another that they could well be considered different worlds. This song is about a town plagued by a massive infestation of time. Well, everyone suffers from time, but these folks had way too much of it. It got into their noses, ears, eyes, in between their toes, and stuck to their skin like a fine film. Now, everyone moves slowly, hoping not to disrupt the flow of time. When you have too much time on your hands, you move more slowly.
